RaiTheGuy07: Racing Around the DC Track
Racers RspDMcd, RaiTheGuy07, and MrEntomology line up for a race. ElderDoor696528, Krisztie, and OllieCraft eargly await the start.
Yesterday, I had the wonderful opportunity to race around the track in DC. I raced in regular cars, supercars, and even by horse. Whether I won or lost, it was a surreal experience, and I believe it should be shared with others. From the fans watching in the stands, the team sponsors wishing for their racers to perform well, racers battling it out on the track, and even gambling addicts betting on their favorite racer to win, there is immense possibility of a racing league in DemocracyCraft!
Racing is incredibly fun, and from my experience, it's always better if you're winning. From the races I participated in, I maintained podiums every race, even after lagging out the server. How did I manage? Well, I'm an experienced driver, I had previously practiced on the track. There's no better way to become better than practicing. While on the track, make note of the major turns, and always be open to innovate! No matter what may be working for you, there may be a better alternative!
RaiTheGuy07 leaves ElderDoor696528 in the dust
From yesterday's racing, I also drove in some dangerous conditions, with heavy rain and even, yes, thunder. The rain alone makes it very dangerous for racers. The wet track provides little to no traction for the tires, and driving in this condition is comparable to driving on ice. The method for rain races is always slow and steady. Driver safety is of utmost importance. In my opinion, no matter the stakes, it's always better to race another day than blow up in flames.
MrEntomology, RaiTheGuy07, and ElderDoor696528 prepare for horseback racing
Not only did I participate in motor racing, but also in horse racing as well. A new experience for me, but as one of the most active horse riders on the server, I was able to easily crush the "competition." MrEntomology and ElderDoor696528 were lapped twice, finishing only one of the three laps after I had won.
Well, what can I say about the future of racing in DC? I'm optimistic! There is so much that can be done, but it will require the support of everyone, from sponsors, team managers, racers, fans, bettors, commenters, and the list goes on! It may just be a dream, but with the collective help of everyone, this can become a reality! Alas, it may be just a dream of mine that will never come to fruition, but I will try my best! Thank you!
